Lovely owner and warm welcome. Contacted immediately after booking. They asked if he could pick us up from Colombo airport and he agreed for an additional fee.
There was no microwave upon arrival, but there was a coffee maker, blender, toaster and electric kettle. They asked about the microwave and he brought us a new one the next day, although Sri Lankans themselves do not use them. The house has a washing machine and two air conditioners. Also in the kitchen there were already spices/salt/tea/coffee/sugar. Didn't have to buy it. Three sets of new dental abrasions and toothpaste were waiting for us in the shower. But there was no shampoo, although there was shower gel and soap. The beds are all white, clean, and clearly new. Even when we rented a bike, we were given only two helmets; we asked the owner if he had an extra one and he gave it free of charge for the duration of our stay.
At night, squirrels or chipmunks ran between the inner wall and the roof, thereby making their squeaks and rustling sounds audible. The birds also started screaming around 6 am and ended around 8 am. Of course, some people might like this, but it bothered us)
